Assassin's Apprentice by Robin Hobb. As a singular piece, it still retains a full dramatic arc even though this is simply the first in The Farseer trilogy. I was told this and decided to pass on her novels until years later when a friend was reading her and commented that she was really good. I bought Assassin's Apprentice for my Kindle quite a while ago. Now, this book begins with young Fitz But back to the book. Assassin's Apprentice, by Robin Hobb. But, whenever I've thought about reading the first book in Hobb's Farseer trilogy, I have been distracted by some newer, shinier book. I liked it, but I felt it was too much of an introduction, and there were too many plots and sub-plots [etc.]. Assassin's Apprentice Assassin's Apprentice is the first book in the Farseer Trilogy, a introduction to the world of the Six Duchies, and to the story of Fitz Farseer. I started with the Farseer Trilogy: Assassin's Apprentice book1…and loved it.
